Possible Causes
Closed or kinked inlet hose, Blocked inlet hose filter, Faulty water inlet valve, Low or no household water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the dishwasher at the mains and turn off the water supply tap before working on the appliance.
- Check water supply: Ensure the kitchen tap feeding the dishwasher is fully open and that there is normal water pressure at other taps.
- Inspect inlet hose: Pull the dishwasher out slightly and check the Baumatic inlet hose for kinks, crushing, or sharp bends. Straighten or reposition as needed.
- Clean inlet filter: Turn off the water tap, unscrew the hose from the tap and from the dishwasher inlet valve. Remove the small mesh filters at each end (if fitted), rinse under running water, and refit.
- Test fill: Reconnect the hose firmly, turn on the water, restore power, and run a short cycle to see if the machine now fills.
- If still no fill: The water inlet valve (solenoid) may be faulty or not opening. This usually requires replacement of the Baumatic water inlet valve assembly. If you are not confident with electrics and plumbing, contact a qualified technician.
