Possible Causes
Faulty door interlock switch, Misaligned door latch, Broken door catch, Wiring fault to door lock
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains before removing the door panel.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and is not obstructed by dishes or racks. Listen for a positive click when closing.
- Inspect latch: Examine the metal or plastic latch on the cabinet and the catch on the door for damage or bending. Adjust or replace if worn.
- Test interlock: Remove the inner door panel to access the Baumatic door lock assembly. Check that the actuator moves freely and that the microswitch clicks when operated.
- Check wiring: Ensure the connector to the door lock is secure and wires are not broken at the hinge area.
- Replace lock: If the switch is faulty or the lock is physically damaged, replace the door lock assembly. Reassemble and test for E11 clearance.
