Possible Causes
Faulty water softener valve, Blocked salt tank or brine chamber, Incorrect salt use, Sensor fault in softener system
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing side panels.
- Check salt level: Open the salt reservoir in the base of the tub and ensure it is filled with dishwasher-grade salt, not table salt.
- Clean around cap: Wipe away any salt crystals around the cap and ensure it seals properly.
- Regeneration valve: On Baumatic models with integrated softeners, a small valve controls brine flow. Access the side of the tub and locate the softener valve and hoses. Check for kinks or blockages.
- Run a regeneration cycle: After refilling salt, run a full hot cycle to allow the system to regenerate.
- Component replacement: If E15 persists, the water softener valve or associated sensor may be faulty and require replacement.
