Possible Causes
Sticking inlet valve, Faulty flow control sensor, Wiring fault, Control board error in inlet circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water supply before working on the inlet system.
- Inspect inlet hose and filter: As with E1, ensure the hose is not kinked and the mesh filter is clean.
- Check for continuous filling: With the machine off, observe if water continues to enter. If so, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
- Check flow sensor: If fitted separately from the valve, ensure the flow sensor connector is secure and free from corrosion.
- Replace inlet valve: If E16 persists and the valve shows signs of sticking or internal leakage, replace the water inlet valve assembly.
