Possible Causes

Partially blocked drain hose, Obstructed sink trap, Weak drain pump, Foreign object in pump impeller

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and be cautious of hot water.

  • Clean filters: Remove and clean all filters thoroughly.
  • Check drain hose routing: Ensure the Baumatic drain hose rises in a high loop and then descends to the waste connection. Remove any kinks.
  • Inspect sink trap: Disconnect the hose from the sink spigot and check for grease or food blockages in the spigot and trap. Clean as needed.
  • Check pump impeller: Access the drain pump from the base. Remove the pump cover and inspect the impeller for glass, bones, or labels. Remove obstructions.
  • Replace pump: If the pump runs but is weak or noisy and E18 persists, replace the drain pump.
