Possible Causes

Faulty flow meter (water intake sensor), Wiring issue between flow meter and control board, Blocked flow meter turbine, Control board failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water supply tap.

  • Check basic water supply: Confirm that the inlet hose is not kinked and that the tap is fully open. Clean the inlet filter as described for E1.
  • Access flow meter: On many Baumatic dishwashers, the flow meter is integrated into the side water matrix or inlet assembly. Remove the side panel and locate the transparent water matrix with a small sensor attached.
  • Clean water matrix: If you see heavy limescale or debris, carefully remove the matrix (note hose positions), flush it with hot water, and remove any blockages around the turbine area.
  • Check wiring: Ensure the flow meter connector is firmly seated on the sensor and at the control board. Look for corrosion or broken wires.
  • Replace if necessary: If E6 persists, the flow meter / water matrix assembly may need replacement. This is a moderate repair; consider a professional if unsure.
