Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness, Control board temperature circuit fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains before accessing internal components.
- Confirm symptom: Check if the dishwasher completes cycles with cold water or poor drying along with E7.
- Locate NTC: On Baumatic dishwashers, the NTC temperature sensor is usually mounted in the sump or attached to the flow-through heater body.
- Inspect connection: Remove the lower panel and locate the NTC. Ensure its connector is firmly attached and free from corrosion or moisture.
- Check wiring: Follow the harness back to the control board, looking for pinched or damaged wires.
- Replace NTC if faulty: If you have a multimeter and are competent, test the NTC for a smooth change in resistance with temperature. If open, shorted, or erratic, replace the NTC temperature sensor.
- Control board: If a new NTC does not clear E7, the control board may be defective and should be assessed by a technician.
