Possible Causes

Insufficient salt in softener, Incorrect water hardness setting, Too little rinse aid, Low-quality detergent

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: No internal electrical work is required for this issue.

  • Refill salt: Fill the salt reservoir with dishwasher salt and ensure the cap is tight.
  • Set water hardness: Adjust the Baumatic dishwasher's water hardness setting according to your local water hardness (see user manual).
  • Increase rinse aid: Turn up the rinse aid dosage setting by one or two levels.
  • Use quality detergent: Try a different brand of tablet or powder designed for hard water.
  • Clean existing deposits: Run an empty hot cycle with a dishwasher descaler to remove internal limescale.
