Possible Causes
Door not fully closed, Child lock activated, Faulty Start button, Defective control panel PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Check door and latch: Ensure the door is firmly closed and that nothing (like a protruding rack) is preventing full closure.
- Child lock: Consult your Becken manual to see if a key or lock symbol is lit. If so, disable the child lock by holding the specified button combination for several seconds.
- Reset appliance: Turn the dishwasher off at the mains for 5 minutes, then power back on and try again.
- Inspect control panel: If some buttons work but Start does not, the membrane switch or PCB may be faulty. Remove the inner door panel and inspect the control module for moisture or corrosion.
Replace the user interface/control panel assembly if the Start button or PCB is defective.
