Dishwasher will not fill with water, cycle stops shortly after start and E1 is shown on the display.

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher or switch off the circuit breaker and close the water supply tap before working on the appliance.

• Check water supply: Ensure the kitchen tap feeding the dishwasher is fully open and that household water pressure is normal. Try running a nearby tap to confirm good flow.
• Inspect inlet hose and filter: Pull the dishwasher forward slightly, close the water tap, and disconnect the inlet hose from the tap. Remove and clean the small mesh filter inside the hose connector and at the dishwasher inlet (if fitted). Rinse under running water and reinstall.
• Check for hose kinks: Make sure the Becken dishwasher’s aqua-stop inlet hose is not kinked or crushed behind the cabinet.
• Test a short cycle: Restore power and water, then run a quick program. If E1 returns, the inlet valve or flow meter may be faulty.
• Advanced check (for experienced users): Remove the left or bottom access panel to locate the water inlet valve assembly. With power disconnected, inspect wiring connectors for burning or looseness. If the coil is open-circuit (test with a multimeter), replace the inlet valve assembly.
