Possible Causes

Defective flow meter, Blocked water matrix, Loose flow meter connector, Control board input fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and water supply before removing side panels.

  • Access flow meter: On Becken models with a side water matrix, the flow meter is usually integrated into the plastic water distributor on the left side.
  • Clean water matrix: Remove the matrix if possible and flush with warm water to remove scale and debris that may impede the flow meter wheel.
  • Inspect sensor and wiring: Check the small flow meter sensor and its connector for damage or corrosion. Reseat the connector.
  • Test operation: Reassemble, restore water and power, and run a short cycle while listening for normal filling. If E14 returns, the flow meter may need replacement.

Replacing the flow meter or water matrix requires careful handling of seals; if unsure, use a professional.
