Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately close the water tap and switch off power at the breaker to stop filling.
- Observe behavior: If water continues to enter the Becken dishwasher even when it is switched off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open.
- Access inlet valve: Remove the lower front or side panel to locate the inlet valve where the aqua-stop hose connects.
- Inspect for debris: Disconnect the hose and check for debris lodged in the valve seat. In most cases, the valve must be replaced rather than cleaned.
- Check wiring and board: If water only flows when the appliance is powered, the control board may be energizing the valve continuously due to a stuck relay.
Replace the inlet valve assembly if it is stuck or leaking. If the valve tests good but is held open electrically, the control board will need repair or replacement.
