Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher before removing the door panel.

• Check door closure: Ensure the Becken dishwasher is level and not twisted in the cabinet. The door should close smoothly and latch firmly.
• Inspect latch and strike: Examine the metal or plastic strike on the cabinet and the latch on the door for damage or misalignment. Adjust the strike position if necessary.
• Access door lock: Remove the inner door panel screws to expose the door lock assembly. Check for broken plastic parts or loose screws.
• Test switch (advanced): With the appliance unplugged, use a multimeter to test continuity of the door switch when the latch is engaged. Replace the lock assembly if the switch does not operate correctly.
• Check wiring: Inspect the harness running through the door for pinched or broken wires, especially near the hinge area.
