How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the appliance to cool before working near the motor.
- Clean spray arms: Remove upper and lower spray arms. Rinse under running water and clear any blocked jets with a toothpick.
- Inspect sump: Remove filters and check the sump for broken glass, bones, or plastic that could enter the pump.
- Access pump: From the base, remove the circulation pump and inspect the impeller and housing for obstructions. Ensure the impeller spins freely.
- Check for overheating: If the pump is very hot or shows signs of discoloration, the motor may be failing.
If cleaning does not resolve E20, replace the circulation pump assembly.
