Possible Causes
Blocked pressure chamber or air trap, Clogged pressure hose, Faulty pressure switch or level sensor, Sticking water inlet valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close the water supply tap. Be prepared for water spillage when opening the door.
- Manually reduce water level: Open the door and use a container or sponge to remove excess water until it is just below the filter level.
- Clean filters and sump: Remove and clean all filters. Check the sump area for grease and debris that may block the pressure chamber opening.
- Access pressure system: Remove the side panel (usually left side) to locate the pressure chamber and thin pressure hose leading to the pressure switch. Detach the hose and blow through it gently to clear blockages. Rinse the chamber with warm water if accessible.
- Check pressure switch: Inspect the pressure switch or electronic level sensor for corrosion or loose connectors. If the diaphragm is damaged or the switch does not click when gently pressurized, it may need replacement.
- Monitor filling: After reassembly, run a short cycle and watch the fill level. If water continues to rise without stopping, the inlet valve may be stuck open and must be replaced.
Because overfilling can cause flooding, do not leave the appliance unattended until the fault is resolved.
