Possible Causes
Partially blocked inlet valve, Clogged water softener or salt container, Blocked flow meter, Kinked inlet hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before removing hoses.
- Check salt and softener: Ensure the salt reservoir cap is properly closed and that you are using dishwasher salt, not table salt. Wipe away any spilled salt around the cap.
- Inspect inlet hose: Pull the dishwasher out slightly and verify that the aqua-stop inlet hose is not kinked or crushed.
- Clean inlet filters: Remove the hose from the tap and from the dishwasher (if accessible). Clean the mesh filters at both ends thoroughly.
- Run a test fill: Restore water and power, then start a cycle. Open the door after filling to check that the water level reaches just below the bottom of the door opening. If low, the inlet valve or flow meter may be restricted.
- Advanced cleaning: Access the side water matrix/flow meter (if fitted on your Becken model). Remove and flush it with warm water to clear scale or debris.
If E8 persists after cleaning and hose checks, the inlet valve or flow meter assembly likely needs replacement.
