Dishwasher makes loud grinding or rattling noises during wash or drain.

Safety: Disconnect power before reaching into the sump or accessing pumps.

• Check inside tub: Ensure cutlery is properly placed and not protruding through the basket. Remove any loose items that could hit the spray arms.
• Inspect spray arms: Spin them by hand to check for contact with dishes or racks.
• Clean sump and pumps: Remove filters and inspect the sump for glass or hard objects. Access the drain and circulation pumps from below if noise persists and remove any debris.
• Replace noisy pump: If the noise is from worn bearings in the circulation or drain pump, replace the affected pump assembly.
