Possible Causes
Blocked drain filter in sump, Clogged drain hose, Defective drain pump, Blocked air gap or sink trap connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal parts. Expect water spillage when opening filters or hoses.
- Clean filters: Open the door, remove the lower rack, twist and lift out the coarse and fine filters. Rinse under hot water and remove any food debris or glass.
- Check pump impeller: With filters removed, look into the sump for the drain pump impeller. Remove any foreign objects (bones, glass, labels) that may jam the impeller.
- Inspect drain hose: Check the hose from the dishwasher to the sink trap for kinks or clogs. Detach it at the sink end and flush it with hot water. Clean any blockage in the sink trap spigot.
- Run a drain-only cycle: Many Beko models allow cancel/reset to force a drain. Try this after cleaning to see if water now pumps out.
- If still no drain: Access the drain pump from the bottom or rear, check for 230V supply during drain (qualified persons only), and replace the pump if it hums but does not turn or is electrically open.
