Possible Causes
Leaking hose or tub, Stuck water inlet valve, Blocked pressure chamber causing incorrect level reading, Faulty float switch in base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap immediately to prevent flooding.
- Check for water in base: Carefully pull the dishwasher out and tilt it slightly backward (about 30°) to see if water drains from the base. If water comes out, the anti-flood float has likely been triggered.
- Dry the base: Remove the bottom panel (if accessible) and use towels or a sponge to dry the base tray. Allow several hours of drying time.
- Inspect for leaks: Run a short cycle while observing the sides and bottom (panels removed) to locate drips from the circulation pump, hoses, door seal, or heat exchanger.
- Check inlet valve: With power off, inspect the inlet valve for signs of sticking or continuous flow when de-energized. Replace if it allows water through when not powered.
- Do not bypass safety: Never bypass the float switch. Fix the leak or faulty valve before using the dishwasher again.
