How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power and close the water tap. Expect some water in the sump when removing hoses.

  • Check spray arms first: Remove and clean upper and lower spray arms. Ensure no holes are blocked and that arms rotate freely.
  • Inspect sump: Remove filters and look for broken glass, bones, or labels that may obstruct the circulation pump inlet.
  • Access circulation pump: Lay the dishwasher on its back (with towels) and remove the bottom cover. Locate the circulation pump attached to the sump.
  • Check impeller: Disconnect the pump and inspect the impeller for obstructions. Remove any debris and check that the impeller spins smoothly.
  • Electrical test: Measure motor winding resistance and check for signs of overheating or water ingress. Replace the circulation pump assembly if seized or electrically faulty.
