Possible Causes
Stuck heater relay on control board, Faulty NTC sensor reading low resistance, Limescale causing localized overheating, Software control error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the dishwasher. Overheating can damage plastic parts and pose a burn risk.
- Allow to cool: Leave the door open and allow the interior to cool completely.
- Reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes, then reconnect and run a short cycle to see if the error reappears.
- Check NTC sensor: Access the NTC at the heater assembly and measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare with service specifications; replace if out of range.
- Inspect control board: Look for signs of a stuck or burnt heater relay. If the heater is energized when it should not be, the control board will require repair or replacement.
- Descale: Run a descaling cycle with a dishwasher descaler to remove heavy limescale that can affect temperature sensing.
