Possible Causes

Kinked or incorrectly routed drain hose, Blocked sink trap spigot, Drain hose installed too low or too high, Air gap blockage (if fitted)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power before moving the dishwasher.

  • Check hose routing: Ensure the drain hose rises in a loop to the recommended height (usually under the worktop) before connecting to the sink trap.
  • Inspect for kinks: Pull the dishwasher out slightly and straighten any sharp bends in the hose.
  • Clean sink connection: Remove the hose from the sink trap spigot and clear any blockage. If the kitchen sink was recently installed, ensure the knockout plug in the spigot has been removed.
  • Test drain: Run a drain-only or cancel cycle to verify that water now pumps out without E24.
