- Clean filters thoroughly: Remove all filters and wash them with hot soapy water. Do this regularly.
- Clean sump and door seals: Wipe the sump area, door gasket, and corners with a cloth and a mild bleach solution or dishwasher cleaner.
- Run a hot cleaning cycle: Use a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar on the bottom rack and run the hottest program.
- Check drain hose routing: Ensure the drain hose has a proper high loop to prevent sink water from backflowing into the dishwasher.
