Possible Causes
Water leak into base pan triggering float switch, Stuck base float switch, Residual water from previous overflow, Cracked sump or hose dripping slowly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water supply.
- 1. Pull out the dishwasher: Carefully slide the unit out of the cabinet to access the base.
- 2. Inspect base pan: Remove the bottom cover and check for water in the base pan. Sponge out all water and dry thoroughly.
- 3. Check float switch: Verify that the float or sensor moves freely and is not stuck in the raised (flood) position. Clean any debris.
- 4. Find the leak: Run a short fill cycle while observing the underside with a flashlight. Look for slow drips from hoses, sump, pump seals, or the door area.
- 5. Repair leak source: Tighten clamps, replace cracked hoses, or replace a leaking sump or pump seal as needed.
Do not operate the dishwasher until the leak is fully resolved to avoid water damage.
