Possible Causes
Open or shorted circulation motor windings, Faulty motor capacitor (if used), Loose wiring to motor, Control board triac/relay failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working under the dishwasher.
- 1. Access circulation motor: Remove the toe-kick and bottom panel to reach the circulation pump motor.
- 2. Inspect wiring and capacitor: Check all connectors and, if present, the start capacitor for bulging or leakage.
- 3. Test motor windings: Use a multimeter to measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- 4. Replace motor assembly: If defective, replace the entire circulation pump and motor assembly according to Bertazzoni service procedures.
If the motor tests good, the control board may not be supplying power correctly and should be checked by a professional.
