Possible Causes
Leaking door gasket, Loose or cracked circulation pump housing, Leaking inlet valve or hose connection, Split drain hose or sump seal failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water supply immediately to prevent further leakage.
- 1. Pull out the dishwasher: Carefully slide the Bertazzoni dishwasher out of the cabinet to inspect the base. Place towels or a shallow tray under the unit.
- 2. Check the base pan float switch: Most models have a float or sensor in the base pan. If water is present, sponge it out completely and gently move the float to ensure it is not stuck.
- 3. Identify the leak source: With the unit pulled out, remove the side panels or bottom cover. Run a short fill cycle while observing with a flashlight. Look for drips from the door area, sump, circulation pump, inlet valve, or hoses.
- 4. Common fixes:
- Replace a worn or torn door gasket if water is leaking from the front.
- Tighten hose clamps on the drain hose and inlet hose.
- Inspect the circulation pump housing and sump seal for cracks; replace if leaking.
- 5. Reset error: After drying the base and repairing the leak, restore power and run a test cycle to confirm no further leakage.
If you cannot locate the leak, contact a professional technician to avoid water damage to cabinetry and flooring.
