Possible Causes

Stuck or blocked pressure switch hose, Faulty pressure switch or water level sensor, Sticking water inlet valve, Control board not closing inlet valve

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water supply. Be prepared for water spillage when opening the door.

  • 1. Remove excess water: Open the door slowly and use a container or sponge to remove water down to normal level.
  • 2. Inspect pressure system: Access the side or bottom of the dishwasher to locate the pressure chamber and small rubber hose leading to the pressure switch. Remove the hose and blow through it to clear any blockage. Clean any scale or debris from the chamber.
  • 3. Test the pressure switch: With a multimeter, check continuity across the switch terminals while gently applying pressure (or blowing) to the port. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
  • 4. Check the inlet valve: If water continues to enter the tub even with power off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced immediately.
  • 5. Control board: If the valve is good but the board continues to energize it too long, the electronic control may be faulty and require replacement.

Overfilling can cause serious water damage; if unsure, seek professional service.
