Possible Causes
Failed circulation pump motor, Jammed impeller, Loose wiring to pump, Faulty main control relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water supply before accessing the underside of the dishwasher.
- Listen during wash phase: After filling, you should hear a strong spraying sound. If you only hear a hum or silence, suspect the circulation pump.
- Check for blockages: Clean filters and inspect the sump for debris that could block the pump inlet.
- Access pump: Remove toe-kick and side panel, then inspect the circulation pump/heat pump assembly. Check connectors and wiring.
- Test pump: Measure motor resistance and check for continuity. If open or shorted, replace the pump assembly.
- Control output: If the pump tests good but never receives power, the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
