Dishwasher will not start and displays E06; door appears closed but machine thinks it is open.

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the door panel.

• Check door closure: Ensure the dishwasher is properly leveled and not pushed too far back into the cabinet, which can prevent the door from latching fully. Adjust the leveling feet if needed.
• Inspect latch strike: Check the metal strike on the tub frame for bending or misalignment. Adjust slightly so the door hook engages firmly.
• Test door switch: Open the inner door panel to access the door lock assembly. Inspect for cracks or broken plastic. Use a multimeter to test continuity of the door switch when the latch is engaged.
• Check wiring harness: Inspect the harness where it passes through the door for pinched or broken wires. Repair or replace as needed.
• Replace door lock: If the switch does not change state or is physically damaged, replace the Bosch door lock assembly. Reassemble the door and test operation.
