Possible Causes
Defective drying fan motor, Blocked air duct, Faulty zeolite blower (on Zeolith models), Wiring issue to fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing side or rear panels.
- Listen for fan operation: During the drying phase, the drying fan should run. If it is silent and E07 appears, suspect the fan or its circuit.
- Access fan assembly: On many Bosch models, the drying fan is located on the side or top of the tub. Remove the side panel to access it.
- Inspect for obstructions: Check the fan wheel and air ducts for lint, plastic, or other debris that could jam the fan. Clear any blockage and spin the fan by hand to ensure it moves freely.
- Test fan motor: Disconnect the fan and measure its resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Also check for supply voltage at the fan connector during the drying phase (only if you are trained to work safely with live circuits).
- Replace fan or zeolite blower: If the motor is defective, replace it with the correct Bosch drying fan or Zeolith blower assembly.
