Possible Causes
Partially blocked inlet valve, Clogged water softener or inlet screen, Faulty circulation pump, Incorrect installation of filters causing poor suction
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close the water supply valve.
- Check water supply: Ensure the household shutoff valve is fully open and the supply hose is not kinked.
- Clean inlet screen: Disconnect the inlet hose from the dishwasher's AquaStop or inlet valve. Inspect and clean the small mesh filter screen inside the valve using a soft brush.
- Verify filter installation: Remove and reinstall the Bosch filter assembly in the sump, ensuring it locks fully. An improperly seated filter can cause cavitation and low circulation.
- Run a fill test: Start a cycle and listen for filling. After fill stops, open the door and check that the water level is just below the bottom of the door opening. If very low, suspect the inlet valve or water softener block.
- Inspect circulation pump: If water level is correct but spray arms do not spin, the circulation pump/heat pump may be weak or failing and may need replacement.
