Possible Causes
Shorted NTC sensor, Open NTC circuit, Corroded NTC connector, Faulty control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker.
- Locate NTC sensor: Typically in the sump or integrated with the heat pump on Bosch dishwashers.
- Inspect connector and harness: Look for moisture ingress, corrosion, or loose pins at the NTC connector. Dry and clean as needed, then reseat.
- Measure NTC resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. If the reading is extremely low (near 0 Ω) or infinite, the sensor is defective.
- Check continuity to control board: Verify the harness from the NTC to the control board has good continuity and no shorts to chassis.
- Replace NTC or control: Replace the NTC sensor if out of spec. If sensor and wiring are good but E11 persists, the main control board may be faulty.
