Possible Causes
Defective flow meter (flow sensor), Blocked or kinked inlet hose, Debris in flow meter, Wiring issue between flow meter and control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close the water supply valve.
- Inspect inlet hose: Ensure the AquaStop hose or standard inlet hose is not kinked or crushed behind the dishwasher.
- Clean inlet screen: Remove the hose from the dishwasher and clean the mesh filter in the inlet valve or AquaStop housing.
- Access flow meter: On many Bosch models, the flow meter is integrated into the water inlet assembly or side heat exchanger. Remove the side panel to locate it.
- Check for debris: Inspect the flow meter chamber for scale or debris that could block the impeller. Rinse gently with water.
- Test flow meter: If possible, monitor the flow meter signal with a multimeter or diagnostic mode (pulses as water flows). If no signal is generated, replace the flow meter or entire inlet assembly.
