Possible Causes
Defective AquaStop inlet valve, Debris preventing valve from closing, Stuck valve plunger, Control board stuck in fill command
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately close the water supply valve and disconnect power to prevent flooding.
- Observe behavior: If water continues to enter the dishwasher even with power off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- Inspect inlet valve: Remove the toe-kick and access the AquaStop or inlet valve assembly. Check for visible damage or leaks.
- Replace inlet valve: Disconnect the inlet hose, electrical connector, and outlet hose from the valve. Install a new Bosch AquaStop/inlet valve assembly, ensuring all seals and connections are tight.
- Check control board (if valve closes with power off): If water stops when power is cut, the valve may be OK and the control board could be falsely energizing it. In that case, inspect wiring and consider control board replacement.
