Dishwasher displays E21 and may have difficulty draining or circulating water.

Safety first: Turn off power and water supply.

• Clean filters and sump: Remove the filter assembly and clean the sump thoroughly. Remove any visible debris.
• Access circulation pump: From underneath or side, remove the pump from the sump housing.
• Inspect impeller and housing: Remove any food particles, glass, or foreign objects. Check that the impeller blades are intact and not loose on the shaft.
• Check hoses: Inspect hoses between sump, pump, and spray arms/heat exchanger for blockages or kinks.
• Reassemble and test: Refit the pump and hoses, then run a test cycle. If E21 persists, the pump may be electrically failing and require replacement.
