Dishwasher shows E24 and does not drain properly; may stop at start or end of cycle.

Safety first: Turn off power before working on the drain system.

• Check sink drain: Run water in the sink and ensure it drains quickly. If slow, clear the sink trap or disposer.
• Inspect disposer knockout: If recently installed to a garbage disposer, ensure the dishwasher drain knockout plug has been removed.
• Examine drain hose: Look for kinks or sharp bends behind the dishwasher. Detach the hose from the sink/disposer and blow through it or flush with water to confirm it is clear.
• Clean drain pump area: From inside the tub, remove filters and access the drain pump inlet. Remove any debris.
• Verify hose routing: Ensure the drain hose has a proper high loop under the counter to prevent backflow.
