Possible Causes

Water leak into base tray, Stuck or faulty float switch, Cracked sump or hose, Loose hose clamp

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dishwasher and close the water tap immediately to prevent further leakage. Be prepared for water spillage when moving the appliance.

  • 1. Inspect base tray: Remove the toe-kick and bottom panel. If water is present in the base tray, the float switch will trigger E13. Sponge out all water and dry the area thoroughly.
  • 2. Locate leak source: Run a short cycle while observing the base with a flashlight. Look for drips from the inlet hose, circulation pump, drain pump, sump gasket, or side water matrix.
  • 3. Tighten and reseat hoses: Check all hose clamps and connections. Tighten loose clamps and reseat hoses that show signs of seepage.
  • 4. Inspect sump and tub: Examine the plastic sump and stainless tub for cracks or corrosion. Replace the sump assembly or other leaking component if damaged.
  • 5. Check float switch: Ensure the float moves freely and the switch is not stuck in the activated position. Replace the float switch if it is defective.
