Possible Causes
Defective flow meter in water matrix, Blocked water matrix channels, Loose or corroded flow meter connector, Faulty control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before removing side panels.
- 1. Access water matrix: Remove the side panel (usually left side) to expose the transparent water matrix where the flow meter is located.
- 2. Clean matrix channels: Detach the matrix and flush it with hot water to remove limescale and grease that can restrict flow and affect the flow meter.
- 3. Inspect flow meter: The flow meter is typically a small turbine with a reed sensor. Check that the turbine spins freely when water passes through. If jammed or damaged, replace the flow meter or entire matrix.
- 4. Check wiring: Ensure the flow meter connector is firmly attached and free of corrosion. Trace the harness back to the control board for any damage.
- 5. Control board diagnosis: If a known-good flow meter is installed and E14 persists, the control board may not be reading pulses correctly and may require replacement.
