Possible Causes
Water in base tray triggering float switch, Recent overfill or spill, Persistent leak from hose or pump, Faulty float switch stuck in raised position
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap. Expect water to drain from the base when moving the appliance.
- 1. Remove water from base: Carefully pull out the dishwasher and tilt it slightly backward or sideways (no more than 45°) to allow water to drain from the base tray onto towels. Alternatively, remove the bottom panel and sponge out the water.
- 2. Dry float switch area: Ensure the float and switch are completely dry and move freely. Do not force the float.
- 3. Identify and fix leak: Run a short cycle while observing the base. Look for leaks from the inlet valve, hoses, sump gasket, circulation pump, or door seal. Repair or replace the leaking component.
- 4. Reset error: After drying and fixing leaks, reconnect power and test. If E15 remains despite a dry base and free-moving float, replace the float switch assembly.
