Possible Causes
Stuck or leaking water inlet valve, Faulty aqua-stop hose, Control board triac shorted, Debris preventing valve closure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately close the water tap and disconnect power to prevent flooding.
- 1. Confirm continuous fill: With the dishwasher switched off, open the door and check if water continues to enter. If so, the inlet valve or aqua-stop is stuck open.
- 2. Inspect inlet valve: Remove the toe-kick and side panel to access the inlet valve or aqua-stop assembly. Check for debris in the valve filter and housing. Clean if minor debris is present.
- 3. Replace faulty valve: If the valve continues to leak when de-energized, replace the water inlet valve / aqua-stop hose.
- 4. Check control board: If the valve is mechanically sound but remains energized, the control board triac may be shorted, continuously powering the valve. In this case, the main PCB must be replaced.
