Safety first: Turn off power and water. Allow the unit to cool before working underneath.

• Confirm fill: Start a cycle and open the door after a few minutes to verify there is water in the bottom of the tub.
• Listen for motor: With the door closed, listen for the wash motor. A loud hum or silence suggests a motor or control issue.
• Clean filter and sump: Remove the filter and inspect the sump for debris that could block the pump inlet.
• Access circulation pump: Pull the dishwasher out, remove the bottom panel, and locate the circulation pump. Check wiring connections.
• Inspect impeller: Remove the pump from the sump and check for broken blades or foreign objects. If the motor shaft is seized or the windings are open, replace the circulation pump assembly.
