Possible Causes
Door not fully latched, Control lock (child lock) enabled, Faulty Start button on UI board, Failed door switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing door panels; for control checks, power must be on.
- Verify door closure: Close the door firmly until it clicks. Ensure racks are fully pushed in and nothing is blocking the door.
- Check for control lock: Look for a lock icon on the display. Hold the designated button(s) for 3–5 seconds to toggle the lock off (refer to user manual).
- Try a different cycle: Select a basic cycle and press Start. If still unresponsive, the Start button or UI may be faulty.
- Inspect door latch: With power off, remove the inner door panel and inspect the latch and switch. Replace the door latch assembly if the switch does not change state when the latch is operated.
