Dishwasher makes loud grinding or rattling noises during wash or drain.

• Check spray arms: Ensure spray arms spin freely and are not contacting tall dishes or utensils. Rearrange load if necessary.
• Inspect filter and sump: Remove the filter and look for bones, glass, or other debris in the sump. Remove carefully.
• Access pumps: If noise persists, pull the dishwasher out and remove the bottom panel. Remove the drain pump and circulation pump to inspect for foreign objects in the impellers.
• Replace worn pumps: If the impeller is damaged or bearings are noisy even when clean, replace the affected pump assembly.
