Possible Causes
Failed water inlet valve, Low household water pressure, Clogged inlet screen, Kinked or pinched inlet hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and shut off the dishwasher water supply valve under the sink.
- Check water supply: Ensure the shutoff valve is fully open. Verify that other fixtures on the same line have good pressure.
- Inspect inlet hose: Look under the sink and behind the dishwasher for kinks or sharp bends in the stainless or braided inlet hose. Straighten as needed.
- Clean inlet screen: Turn off water, disconnect the inlet hose from the dishwasher valve, and inspect the small screen inside the valve fitting. Clean any sediment or debris with a soft brush.
- Test fill: Reconnect the hose, restore water and power, and start a cycle. Listen for water entering the tub. If F1 returns and no water enters, the inlet valve may be defective.
- Replace inlet valve if needed: Pull the dishwasher out, access the valve (usually on the left or right underside), disconnect wiring and hoses, and install a new Café-compatible water inlet valve.
