Possible Causes

Leaking door gasket, Cracked sump or tub, Loose hose clamp, Leaking circulation or drain pump seal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and water. Be prepared for water when tilting or moving the dishwasher.

  • Inspect inside the tub: Look for foam, oversudsing, or obvious leaks at the door. Ensure only dishwasher detergent is used.
  • Pull the unit out: Remove mounting screws and slide the dishwasher out. Tilt slightly to see if water drains from the base pan.
  • Dry the base: Remove the bottom panel and soak up any water in the base pan. Allow to dry completely.
  • Identify leak source: Run a short cycle while observing the underside. Look for drips from hoses, pumps, sump gasket, or door area.
  • Repair leak: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, or install a new door gasket or pump seal as needed.
  • Reset leak sensor: Once dry and repaired, restore power and test. If LE returns without visible leaks, the leak sensor or wiring may be faulty.
