Dishwasher displays tE; unit may stop mid-cycle and not heat properly.

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker.

• Locate thermistor: The temperature sensor is typically mounted in the sump area. Access from inside the tub or from underneath depending on model.
• Inspect wiring: Ensure the connector is fully seated and wires are not damaged or corroded.
• Test sensor: Use a multimeter to measure resistance at room temperature and compare to Café/GE specifications. A reading far outside spec indicates a bad sensor.
• Replace if faulty: Install a new Café-compatible thermistor if the original is defective.
• If tE persists: The control board input circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
