Restoring keypad function:

• Inspect keypad surface: Look for cracks, bubbles, or delamination on the Champion keypad. Replace if damaged.
• Dry moisture: Remove the panel and gently dry any moisture behind the keypad. Ensure the area is sealed to prevent future ingress.
• Reseat ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the keypad ribbon cable to the control board, ensuring a firm connection.
• Avoid harsh cleaners: Use only mild cleaners on the control panel to prevent further damage.

When to call a technician: If a new keypad does not resolve the issue, the control board may also be damaged and require replacement.
