Possible Causes

Water supply tap closed or low pressure, Blocked inlet hose filter, Faulty water inlet valve, Faulty water level sensor or pressure switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off the dishwasher at the mains isolator and, if hard‑wired, lock out/tag out before removing any panels. Turn off the water supply.

  • Check water supply: Ensure the stopcock feeding the Classeq dishwasher is fully open. Verify there is adequate water pressure (typically at least 2 bar). If other taps in the kitchen are weak, resolve the plumbing issue first.
  • Inspect inlet hose and filter: Turn off water, disconnect the inlet hose from the rear of the machine. Inside the hose connection on the machine side there is usually a small mesh filter. Rinse under running water and remove any limescale or debris. Refit securely and check for kinks or crushing along the hose route.
  • Test the water inlet valve: With power isolated, remove the lower front or side panel to access the water inlet valve / solenoid valve. Check the wiring connector is firmly seated and not heat‑damaged. Using a multimeter, measure coil resistance (typically 2–5 kΩ; refer to Classeq service data). An open circuit coil indicates a faulty valve that must be replaced.
  • Check water level sensor / pressure switch: Locate the pressure switch or level sensor hose from the wash tank or sump. Remove the small rubber tube and blow gently to ensure it is not blocked with grease or scale. Clean the air trap on the tank if fitted. If the switch does not click or shows no change in continuity when pressure is applied, replace the sensor.
  • Run a test fill: Restore power and water, then start a cycle and observe the fill. If E1 persists after confirming supply and components, further diagnosis of the control PCB is recommended by a Classeq‑trained technician.
