Possible Causes
Leak from tank gasket or door seal, Split hose or loose hose clamp, Leaking wash pump or drain pump seal, Faulty or stuck anti‑flood float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water supply immediately to prevent further flooding.
- Inspect base tray: Remove the front kick panel or side panel to access the base tray. If water is present, carefully sponge or vacuum it out.
- Check anti‑flood float switch: Locate the float switch in the base tray. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck in the raised position. Clean any grease or debris. Test continuity with a multimeter while moving the float.
- Identify leak source: With the tray dry, briefly restore water and run a short fill while observing the machine with panels removed. Look for drips from the door gasket, tank seams, hoses, pumps, or boiler connections.
- Tighten or replace components: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, and renew perished O‑rings or gaskets. If a pump seal is leaking, replace the affected pump or mechanical seal kit.
- Reset and test: Once the leak is fixed and the float switch is reset (down position), clear any stored error (if applicable) and run several test cycles while monitoring for further leaks.
