Possible Causes
Open or shorted boiler NTC sensor, Loose or corroded sensor connector, Damaged sensor cable, Control PCB input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power and allow the boiler to cool fully before touching the sensor or boiler body.
- Locate boiler NTC: Identify the boiler temperature probe on the rinse boiler shell.
- Check physical condition: Ensure the sensor is firmly seated and not leaking. Clean off any scale or residue.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at ambient temperature. Compare with Classeq data. If reading is out of range, replace the sensor.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the cable back to the control PCB, checking for damage or loose plugs.
- Control board check: If a known‑good sensor still gives E12, the PCB may have a faulty analogue input and should be tested/replaced by a professional.
